What happened in episode 23?
In Ragna Crimson Episode 23, Borgius interrupts Crimson and Ultimatia's battle and tells Ultimatia to come to his side. We cut to Chimera reminiscing about her connection with Snake. Snake takes over Chimera's body and attacks Borgia, Ultimatia, and Crimson. He apologizes to Crimson for performing this attack.
Before Borgius perishes, he calls Kamui and entrusts him with the protection of the Ultimatum. Ike decapitates Borgia. During Kamui's battle with Ragna, Kamui unleashes his true power and Ultimatia destroys one of Ike's allies. Nazarena stabs Ultimatia in the head, causing her to sporadically shoot energy blasts across the battlefield.
Kamui unleashed his lightning god battle art technique and engulfed the area in a powerful light. We get a flashback involving him and the Clawed Monarch, Gilze. During it, we learn about Gilzea's power and connection to Kamui. We then go back to watching Kamui's battle with Ragna. Kamui beheads Ragna and says that he plans to kill Gilzea and the dragon god next.
Ragna engulfs the area with his light source and reattachs the head. Ultimatia travels to their battle and remembers her first encounter with Kamui. After the flashback concludes, Ultimatia calls Kamui. Kamui tells Ultimatia not to interfere with his fight and attacks Ragna. The episode ends with Ragna planning to use his Anti-Monarch Technique to defeat Kamui.
